Mildred’s career as a registered Hospital Pharmacist spans over 25 years. She currently operates at Management Executive level as Clinical Director of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation, at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in Kent and is Chair of the Kent Surrey and Sussex Chief Pharmacists and Medicines Management Leads network.

With a Masters degree in Strategic Healthcare Management and Leadership, she performs other lead roles including Chairing of the Trust’s Drugs and Therapeutics Committee, the Medication Safety Committee, the Medical Gas Committee and she is the Medication Safety Office and Controlled Drugs Accountable Officer. Mildred is one of a few BAME staff members at Management Executive level in her organisation, and represents the voices of this group of staff as Deputy Chair of the Cultural and Ethnic Minority Network.

Her recent work in developing the first interactive online mentoring programme with a training provider, for BAME staff across Kent and Medway ICS, has been highlighted as a case study by NHSE. Mildred has published articles in scientific and management journals, developed and implemented several medicines management policies, guidelines, presented at various national forums, engaged in high profile pharmacy service re-designs and service development projects, some of which received central funding by NHS England. Her most recent and ongoing work with the COVID-19 vaccine deployment programme was published in the prestigious Health Service Journal in January 2021. A video with fellow professional colleagues to encourage uptake of COVID-19 vaccine in BAME communities, has received significant recognitions on various media platforms and organisational levels.

Mildred has keen interest in School Education. She is a Trustee of a Grammar School Board of Trustees and chair’s the Head Teacher Performance Committee and the Curriculum and Learning Committee. She has been married for 26 years and has two sons, ages 23 and 18 years.
