Julian Wyatt

Project Lead
Lancashire & South Cumbria ICS

Julian qualified as a pharmacist in 1989 and worked for Boots The Chemist until 1995> After moving to London, he worked for independent Pharmacies becoming Superintendent and eventually Operations Manager for a small chain of Pharmacies in London, until the chain was sold. After a short break he moved to work with Webstar Health (now part of Cegedim Healthcare) initially to manage a small software implementation for community Pharmacies then progressing to operations manager where part of his time was spent on initial work to develop the Refer to Pharmacy Solution for East Lancashire Hospitals Trust. Julian also acted as CEO of Hackney LPC for approximately 2 years. During his time with Webstar Helath his long-term interest in databases and coding supported his role and led to the decision to leave the company and head back to school to undertake a bootcamp in full stack web app development. At this point he also decided to leave the Pharmacy Register in pursuit of a more digital career. Recently he was invited to join the team at Lancashire and South Cumbria ICS to work on their Unified Medicines Record with Referrals project - a consolidated medicines record project also incorporating redevelopment of the Refer to Pharmacy application which he’d helped develop 5 years ago.
